Each time the server is restarted the itemID's that are stored on server get refreshed. The person with the original item has to logon to the server and upload their itemcache. Once this is done then your item should and I repeat -SHOULD- become valid. There is a function that tries to play around with invalid itemid's to see if it can make it valid.
